Welcome our new Board Director:

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the Board of Directors for the Boulder Creek Fire Protection District. Director Dave Scruggs was appointed this morning at a special board meeting. He will be filling the seat and remainder of the term for recently retired Director Rick Rogers. 

Director Scruggs has been a long time resident of Boulder Creek, having moved here in 1984. He has significant ties to the Fire District, having served as a volunteer since 1988. Director Scruggs was an active volunteer for over 28 years, retiring as a Fire Captain in 2016. Even after retirement, Director Scruggs remained active with the District. He helps with our fundraising efforts during public events. He supports our personnel during extended storm operations. And he provided administrative and logistical support during the 2020 CZU Complex fires. 

We would like to thank the other community members who applied for the position. It's wonderful to see so many quality individuals apply for the open Board of Directors seat and help our District achieve our mission of serving and protecting our community. Congratulations to newly appointed Director Dave Scruggs.
